Madame Envy
A prolific writer recognized for her captivating narratives across multiple genres, Lashun Williams, also published under Madame Envy, is an African American fiction author and writer of romance, dark fantasy, and gothic romance as well as self-help works and narrative nonfiction. Starting her publishing career at 18 years old, Lashun continued her love for writing by studying the writing craft for a decade. Throughout her journey, she published the "Element Princess" series under the pen name, Jenaia Williams. In 2023, she published her short story "Sea Comedies" with DG Sentinel as well as her short stories “Midnight Drive” and “Castle Guard” Quillkeepers Press in 2024. Also in 2024, she published poetry in Livina Press’ Fall 2024 Issue 10 – Golden and their annual magazine, Midnight Ink. In 2025, her poem “Lungs” published under Seasonal Fruits Magazine, and her poem “Locket Meadow” published with Eber & Wein.
When she’s not writing, Lashun persists in her work as a brand ambassador for Hemlock & Hearth and aims to enrich her life with luxury, knowledge, and whimsical, cozy aesthetics. In her free time, she enjoys going on adventures, bouncing through bookstores and cafes to find her next creative space, finding her next literary intrigue, and studying the occult, spiritualism, and interior design.
